If you were blessed enough to have some Polar Blasting where you live, wasn't it incredible??? Only about 2 or 3 weeks before this we saw some snowfall in Upper Hutt but it would settle. It snowed up in the hills and we went for a drive to see if we could find some but didn't see any until I told the boys to pray that we would get to see some. Next thing it started snowing quite heavily so we drove home real quick (still in the speed limit of course!) and just as we came through the gates Isaiah prayed that we would see some at college. Next thing is was snowing lightly!!! It looked amazing!

When the polar blast hit, Suz had gone up to Palmerston North for her Uncle's funeral and that Sunday night (14th August) Logan messaged with a photo. The snow had hit and it was so thick! She was gutted. Then later on in the night in Palmerston North it started snowing, but it wasn't thick enough to enjoy.

On the Monday afternoon it was time for Suz to jump on the bus and go back to Wellington, it started snowing again and it was heavier than the night before. The bus came in and it was caked in snow, it had just come from Napier!

It snowed all the way from Palmerston North to Wellington. When she got into Wellington it was announced over the speaker all the trains had stopped because of a power outage in the Hutt. So had to wait for nearly an hour for Logan to come and pick her up. 

It was certainly and eventful weekend and we got to enjoy a whole week or so with this incredible snow. Malachi and Isaiah had two days off school due to the snow, so they were happy.

All around college were igloos, and snow people. All around Upper Hutt there were many creative things. Suz saw a duck, someone from preschool built a motorbike and man. 

This was probably the most exciting thing of the year, next to moving her and the new baby niece/cousin!!
